• Our Philosophy

ChildsPlayMusic is a Mt. Pleasant, South Carolina, music label dedicated to providing quality music for children. Founded in 2007 by Ty Curtis, ChildsPlayMusic,LLC® was created to provide a musical alternative for parents who want to purchase music for their children.

We understand how important it is for children to have the opportunity to listen to inspiring and healthy music. Our philosophy and approach to creating music has not changed since the company's inception. We want to produce music that will entertain and enrich children's lives.

At ChildsPlayMusic.com we are are not in a hurry to "get a product out there." We will not release music until it has met rigorous standards for safety and quality.

•  Ty Curtis (a little information about me)

I have been involved with music pretty much for all of my life. I began to perform professionally when I was in my teens. Today I continue to create music as songwriter and recording artist.

Songs from my Album, Walk Home With Me, continue to play on Christian radio stations.

I have also taken part as a studio musician on literally hundreds of children's albums.

Other musical appearances include: Seacoast's Worthy CD, and Robert Williams' Change My Heart CD.

I have served as a director of contemporary music for various churches in the Charleston area for over a decade.

I have also served a classroom teacher with over 25 years of experience teaching elementary school.

I have been married for 21 years to my wife Caroline. We have been the proud parents of 2 wonderful children for more than 19 years. My children, Emily and Tyson, have been the acid test for my music. They are both blossoming musicians and are quick to let me know what they think about the songs. In addition Emily performed all of the background vocals on "Sea Animal Adventures" at the age of 14. I am so proud of proud of both of them.
